The sideways-photo fixer
Phone photos arrive sideways, scans arrive upside down, and screenshots mirror themselves in ways nobody ordered. This tool rotates in 90° steps, flips horizontally or vertically, and adds a fine-angle slider for photos that are just a few degrees crooked — applied to a whole batch at once, entirely in your browser. Current browsers apply EXIF orientation automatically when a photo loads here, so an iPhone shot that only looks sideways in older software will usually arrive already upright; the rotation you add is then baked into the downloaded file for every other program.
How to use it
- Add one image or a whole batch.
- Use the buttons for quarter turns and flips, and the slider for small corrections. The thumbnails preview the result live.
- Pick an output format — PNG keeps transparency; JPG fills the exposed corners with your chosen colour.
- Apply, then download each file (or all, one after another).
Transparency note
Rotating by a fine angle exposes corner triangles. On PNG they stay transparent; on JPG they must be filled — white by default, or pick the colour your page background uses and the corners disappear.
