Open toolPDF tools that never upload your files
Most “free” PDF sites work by uploading your document to a stranger's server. CalcViso's PDF tools do the opposite: the Merge, Split, Compress, Lock, Unlock and conversion tools all run entirely in your browser using the PDF libraries loaded with this page. Your files never leave your device, which is how document tools should work when the documents are contracts, statements or ID scans.
The everyday jobs are covered: combine files with Merge PDF, pull pages out with Split PDF, shrink a heavy scan with Compress PDF, and protect a finished document with the PDF Lock Tool, which applies genuine standard PDF encryption. Conversion tools are honest about their limits — text transfers cleanly between PDF and Word; complex layouts may need tidying afterwards.
Images and PDFs trade places here too: JPG to PDF turns photos and scans into a single document, PDF to JPG renders each page as an image (zipped when there are several), and Rotate PDF permanently fixes pages that were scanned sideways.
Finishing touches live here as well: Add Watermark to PDF stamps CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or your own text across every page, and Sign PDF places a drawn or typed signature on a page — a visual signature for informal documents, with its limits stated plainly on the page.
Three more specialists: PDF to PNG renders pages as lossless PNG images (the sharper sibling of PDF to JPG), Extract Images from PDF pulls the original embedded images out of a document — and says honestly, with a rendered-page fallback, when a file has none to extract — and Add Page Numbers to PDF stamps “Page X of Y” in your choice of position and format.
Page surgery has its own bench: Organize PDF shows every page as a thumbnail so you can drag pages into order, rotate the sideways ones and delete the strays; Delete Pages from PDF and Extract Pages from PDF are the two directions of the same cut — remove the pages you name, or keep only the pages you name. Crop PDF trims margins by millimetres or percent when a scan carries too much white edge.
And when the document itself needs changing: Edit PDF adds text and images on top of pages — honestly labelled as additions, since no browser tool can rewrite the text already inside a PDF — Fill PDF Forms fills a form's real fields and can hand the finished copy to Flatten PDF to bake the answers in, and Compare PDFs diffs two versions word by word so you can see exactly what changed between a draft and its revision.
